A pleasant surprise. I went there for a quick meal before going to a concert at The Pageant. The place was inviting and the staff friendly. The restaurant evolved from their food truck so it's airy and relaxed. It's was the first time I tried Filipino food and was impressed by the complexity of the flavours.
"Welcome to your new favorite restaurant!" The employee wasn't kidding. The food was so good.We ordered the BBQ Pork Skewer as an app, Flying Pig (most popular dish), and the Bicol Express (most authentic dish). Also, they leave this coat rack outside, which is absolutely amazing.
Super flavorful and absolutely delicious. The hibiscus tea was also very good. The staff was friendly and helpful and our food arrived quickly. The spam fries were a very unique and absolutely worth trying.
I love Guerrilla street food! Flying pig is amazing. Beware ordering from postmates (and possibly other delivery services) they more than double to price of the order not counting for the delivery fee.
This spot is my preferred one. I eat in a lot of restaurants but here I go the most. The crew is very affectionate and the cooking they offer is so delicious. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.
Very new to the loop, but an established restaurant. Fantastic food and beer choices. Worth a visit. And don't forget the corn bread
Service was cool. The server seemed annoyed that I made some revisions to the menu selections I ordered. He added way too much Hosin sauce to compensate for everything I took off. Everything is served on trays like prison(weird)... got our food fast and hot. The meat is flavorful and tender. The empanada tastes like potpie and the adoba chicken just taste like regular chicken and gravy. (Nothing special) came for the Ube ice cream, but found out it is a seasonal flavor and the current flavor is Mango(yuck) the menu for this location isn't on the menu so I wasnt sure what options differed from the others. Overall... not my taste. People should try it atleast once.
I work for Postmates and one of the employees was very rude and difficult when I was trying to pick up my orders. I’m sure their service is normally fine but it affected my ability to do my job correctly.(Edit: Maybe they don’t understand how Postmates works, but customers’ estimated delivery times and drivers’ mileage pay are estimated by assuming the deliveries are taken in a certain order. We have hot bags to keep the food warm, so when vendors refuse to give out the orders as was intended, it only makes things more difficult)
This place was good on Grand location and we're pretty excited it's in our neighborhood. We went there for dinner but there were only a couple tables occupied aka not very busy. But we had to wait 30 min for our food - not a very good thing for a place set up like a "fast food place". We got ribs, flying pig, and sour friend chicken. Ribs and pork are okay but fried chicken tasted like they dropped an entire bottle of salt. There's salty food that gets you thirsty and there's their fried chicken that taste like hypertension. Maybe it's a one-off experience but I mostly won't be going there again.
Great space, friendly chefs working right there at the counter and delicious food. I tried the Flying Pig and it was a little sweet, a little spicy, a little smoky with the pork and the tender rice rounded it all out. So excited that this location opened and will definitely visit again.
Second time at this location. I like how the two locations differentiate themselves: menus, decor, even presentations are different.Service was better this visit. The staff seemed to get along better than my last visit. I'm still underwhelmed with the food at the Delmar location though. The dishes the locations share don't have the same flavor, or even amount of flavor. I dunno. I just like the grand location's food better.I ordered the wandering pig, one of my faves. It was good, just not super flavorful. Also, I split the Ukoy with my friend. That was my first time trying that dish and it was great.
First time here delicious food a d the Halo Halo was to die for.
Concept seemed good. Meat was good. Lacked a bit of flavor.
Fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, tender pork. The slaw is a plus. The ribs are a must. We will definitely be back.
Really great food. Full of different flavors. Great location. The Fly Pig entree is awesome.
Ordered 5 different items, and nothing tasted either good or remotely Filipino. We've had Filipino food all over the country as well as in the Philippines and this tasted nothing of the sort. We were excited as there are not many Filipino restaurants in the area, but were immensely disappointed. If you're looking for authentic, or tasteful Filipino food, look elsewhere. Would not try again.
